Self-Advocate Board Opportunity Available

Attention, self-advocates!

Down Syndrome Association of Maryland has a volunteer board member position available beginning in June 2022 for a self-advocate with Down syndrome who’d like to be a leader within our organization.

This important role is mandated in our bylaws to be held by a self-advocate and will support the Down Syndrome Association of Maryland’s mission by helping with fundraising, donor acknowledgment, oversight of the mission’s goals, and oversight of its executive director. This is a 2-year term; this person will serve from 2022 - 2024 with the option to extend for a total of 3 terms. Meetings are every-other-month in the evenings and held by Zoom (no travel is required.)
